A Compassionate Life:Venerable Master Miao Lien
Series:Infinite Light 1
A Compassionate Life:Venerable Master Miao Lien has been compiled for commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the Venerable Master’s passing on June 25, 2008. It’s a slim volume because the Venerable Master preferred to focus on others instead of his own experiences. However, the book does offer insight into the significant moments of his life and the Venerable Master’s, and others’ reflections on those moments.
In publishing this book, Lingyen Mountain Temple’s wish is that everyone can take up Venerable Master Miao Lien’s challenge and “make the courageous resolve to help others as well as yourself to obtain liberation”. Don’t think you can’t do it, Venerable Master says because you feel you are just an ordinary person and dare not make great vows. Let A Compassionate Life inspire you to cultivate your Mind of Great Compassion courageously and continuously. Then we may all follow the Venerable Master from this sea of suffering to the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
